GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) –

Dispatchers confirmed a fire in Greenville Wednesday night.

Officials with Parker District Fire Department responded to the scene after getting the calla round 10:15 p.m.

They said the incident happened at 15 Security Drive. Initially, crews believed it was possible that someone may have been trapped inside, with heavy fire on the front of the building.

Our FOX Carolina crew at the scene said it appeared to have been an electrical fire.

Duke Energy also responded to investigate.

No one was injured in the fire, and Fire Chief Tom Thomas said the fire was under control in 3 minutes.

Thomas said both people who lived in the residence were fine.

According to Thomas, the fire also caused the power line to arc, prompting Duke Energy to respond.

The Red Cross is assisting the family at this time. The home has been declared a total loss.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
